All caped out and ready for the taxidermist

Finally got him!!!

Fred was successful in his deer hunt tonight and using a muzzleloader
for the 1st time, got him in 1 shot. We've been watching this fellow.
The buck is 9 points with a 21 1/4 inch spread and live weight was 230 lbs.

Now to get it ready for the taxidermist.

Getting ready for Santa

So we took a trip today to Pine Ridge Christmas tree farm and it didn't take too long to find what we liked. By no means was the weather a factor in this fairly quick decision.

My men working hard to get the tree from its happy spot.
The process of taking the tree home includes putting it in a shaker to get loose needles and snow and whatever else out so its kinda clean to come in the home. This orange thing wraps the tree.

Tada, wrapped tree.

Don't they know it's COLD out there?

My little men, in swimming trunks?? At the last look
of the temperature on my truck it was 11 degrees, 3 or more inches of snow on the ground and the wind is blowing.

Shopping Chicago

Dec. 2nd went with a friend shopping for the fun of it!

This fire truck went zooming by us.

These stuffed animals were in FAO Schwartz

It was a great trip for both of us. We each had Starbucks for the 1st time.
